Hiring
Before they are hired, all potential staff are put through an intensive
pre-selection process, multiple interviews and suitability testing.
Training
All staff are
APCO
trained. We do enough internal staff training that four key manager/supervisors
have now been certified by
APCO as Public Safety Telecommunicator 1, Instructor 6th Edition. See the
attached PDF of their certificates.

On-Going Training
Being trained once when you were hired is not enough. We have on-going
training programs, mentoring, scheduled staff meetings and training sessions.
Documented Policies and Procedures
As part of our training and our standard operating procedures we
document and script everything that we can imagine and then do further training
on how to think creatively for those eventualities that are not covered. By
documenting situations, role playing and scripting various events our staff are
prepared and ready for any eventuality.
Integrity Checks
On a scheduled basis we do various data integrity checks. We confirm our
trunk lines are functional, our computers are operational, the receivers are
handling events correctly etc. We even take VoIP phones as provided by our
clients and call 911 to test the full system end to end for operation. Both
theirs and ours!
